Ideas for Citizen Science in Astronomy, by Philip J. Marshall, Chris J. Lintott, and Leigh N. Fletcher; v1 preprint arXiv:1409.4291.
In addition to being mentioned in the "Crowd-sourced Classification in Astronomy"/"Time domain astronomy" sections, PH has a subsection to itself in "Citizen Led Enquiry": "Lightcurve analysis on Planet Hunters Talk". And there's an indirect mention of the thought leadership of PH in the Conclusions section:
Indeed, the most dedicated volunteers have proved capable of developing and using fairly advanced astronomical techniques, suggesting that we are likely to continue to see increasing numbers of citizens co-authoring papers in high impact research journals. While not everyone who takes part in a project wants to move to more advanced work, providing the opportunity to do so is important.
Feedback has been requested, but today is the last day (deadline was extended from 26 to 30 September): "We invite feedback via github issues at this http URL"

Is 'as' duplicated intentionally? (page 39 in the following section):
"For Galaxy Zoo, the forum had served this purpose but, as as the
project matured, participation in discussions became restricted to a small and
decreasing fraction of the community"Posted

KIC 8462852 is back! getting a lot of attention currently. Originally highlighted and embellished by our very own planet hunter scientists (The special ones!) This article mentions and gives full credit to Planet Hunters for the discovery. Well done to all who worked and contributed in outing this very unique star and its #transits could turn out to be a very special discovery indeed: Check it out here:
