    Hello everybody.
When classifing I found this star:

    Metadata
    EPIC no: 211001716
    2mass id: 04134957+2300049
    sdss id: unknown
    Mag: 10.781
    Jmag: 9.478
    Hmag: 9.075
    Kmag: 8.97

I was wondering, is it variable? This only big huge depth at the day 13 is it normal? Maybe I am just misinterpreting after the story of KIC 8462852.

Variation on this scale (about 1 - 1.5%) is not unusual. It helps to check the vertical scale.

It repeats semi-regularly with a period of about 20-22 days and is most likely just instrinsic variability of the star. I am guessing it might just be variations in surface brightness as the star rotates.

KIC 8462852 is a completely different matter. Its light curve has a few sudden drops of up to 20% which do not repeat regularly and also have unusual shapes.
