Discussion of Possible Planets in K2-0

    Here's one I think looks promising: http://talk.planethunters.org/#/subjects/APH00007x0

Period of about 7 days, small dip. Thoughts?

Those are definitely transits, but they are pretty deep (~2%). The star's colours indicate its spectral type is mid-F, and the transit length (~4 hours) suggests the star is a dwarf or early subgiant, so the companion radius is probably at least ~2 RJup (V-shaped transits notwithstanding). That puts the companion, at the smallest, as comparable in size to the largest known giant planets. It's thus rather possible that the companion is more massive than a planet, perhaps a small M-dwarf.

Nevertheless, this'll require follow-up to be certain about, and I wouldn't discount the possibility that your fresh candidate is a planet.

Well, looks a little stellar in my humble opinion. My alternating fits were inconclusive for an eb in the primary though. With limited data so far of course.

However big thanks to Vanderburg and Johnson for making a closer look at this data fairly straight forward.
