Well, why don't you read some tutorials or the blog https://blog.planethunters.org/ ? Of course it's NOT two planets with the same orbit (they would collide sooner or later!), but it's just a textbook example of an #eclipsingbinary

Agree with zoo3hans if you think about Kepler's laws, two planets of same orbital period would have the same radius vector ie effectively the same orbit.

Two planets CAN share the same orbit and be stable, if they are 60 degrees out of phase (Lagrange L4 or L5 points). In this system, however, the "two" are 180 degrees out of phase, which indicates a single object (eclipsing binary probably).
