Star Data Points - Color

Perhaps if the data points that are being evaluated were light blue instead of white it would be easier to find transit features.

Perhaps even reintroduce bars that go through the data points

Thanks for the suggestion. We had a graphic designer create the color scheme, He did look at other colors for the interface taking into account what should be best visually. He decided on the color scheme we use on the new Planet Hunters.
We also had a beta test from a random selection of Zooniverse volunteers which did include some active volunteers from Planet Hunters talk. There wasn't significant feedback on the look of the data points, so we stuck with what the graphic designer came up with.
We won't be changing the color scheme for the data points now, but if we remake the site again which probably will happen in a few years we'll try and take this feedback into consideration.
Cheers,
~Meg

If this will be relevant sometime in the future I will support both ideas (marcfam/Dolorous Edd) but I think the features should be optional.

BTW

PH is expected to last that long?
And what is the prospect of planet hunters in the future? During Kepler primary mission that was straightforward due to amount of targets and mission duration, but K2 and TESS are signifactlly different in that regard. They are shorter and amount of data is significantly less. It will be hard ( if not impossible ) to match the computers.
