Is there a way to download datasets in order to load them in excel or matlab for more complex analysis?

Unfortunately not much is easy, but you could look around these websites and hopefully will find data you can work with:

You could also check with the "search" option, see for example https://talk.planethunters.org/#/boards/BPH0000006/discussions/DPH0001a8r
and https://talk.planethunters.org/?_ga=1.115398086.1777704650.1398881647#/boards/BPH0000006/discussions/DPH0000gsw (not only for K2 but also for the initial Kepler observations. Al Schmitt's excellent LcViewer is really the best tool to view Kepler light curves. I really recommend it.
