A summary of all the common hashtags would be useful

Just getting into this, and the little description/explanation of common pattern types to the left of each star's recent chat window (after you hit finished/no transits) is VERY helpful. (the "here's what #variable looks like, etc" sidebar)
I'm having trouble remembering what they all are though, since there's only one per star.
What would be VERY helpful would be to have ALL of those summaries somewhere, as a reference. It is, after all, a tool. When i'm looking at a star I can then match it against the summaries and give it better hashtags, plus compare the standardised patterns against the actual data, rather than having to rely on my memory (which may be confused, patchy, etc).
The help below the star data is useful, but it doesn't cover hashtags.

I think the example for the #cepheid tag is very misleading.
According to proposal GO2041 (Molnar et al.) "Type I and II Cepheids in the K2 Campaigns 2 & 3" http://keplerscience.arc.nasa.gov/K2/docs/Campaigns/C2/GO2041_Molnar.pdf, there are only seven Cepheid variables in K2 Campaign 2 and none of their light curves look like the example in the blog. The periods are longer and the shapes are roughly sinusoidal. Here are the EPIC and 2MASS IDs and a better example on PH.
202571062 2MASS J16240203-2910446
202862302 2MASS J16365285-2805341

In the absence of a "like" button, I am sending brainwaves of love and karma towards your position.

Good idea. Hiding chat and hashtags/light curve thumbnails in hidden panels would allow a better classification flow, and enable us to quickly compare thumbnails with the current star. Much easier than trying to remember them as we go.

Also lets not see other's guesses before we've submitted their own.

i have to agree with the #cepheid issue. the picture used as example for the hash tag also doesn't show the axes.

I think that the #cepheid sample is showing somethink like we can see in that curve: http://talk.planethunters.org/#/subjects/APH0000dx8
In fact a double period: one a usual pulsating, and one that has a longer period.
I agree that the samples do not show correctly what the legend says. Usually the legend says "period > 1 day" and it is hard to see that period in the small sample image.Posted

The light curve of the archetype Delta Cephei has a period of 5.366341 days with steep rises in brightness and slower dimming. The amplitude also does not vary.

Looks like the right curve, here another link: https://astrosociety.org/edu/publications/tnl/57/realastro3.html
So basically, the image sample on planethunters.org leads people to wrong assumptions and thus leading the data to poor results.Posted
